Hi! My name is Maia Dechiario and I am a field hockey student athlete at the University of Richmond where I will be doing my fifth year! I was previously at UConn for four years where I really grew both as an athlete and, more importantly, as a person. As a co-founder of the Morgan’s Message chapter at UConn, I strive to express how much each and every person has value and are loved! The mental health side is just as important as the physical side of being a student athlete, so I would love to use my platform as a steady reminder of just that!
