My name is Makayla Mackiewicz, and I currently play as a goalkeeper for the University of Wisconsin - Eau Claire Women's Soccer Team. In my free time I play futsal, and I am obsessed with the fast-paced game that allows for so much creativity. My family is from Poland, so that is one of my favorite places to travel to. I am a family-oriented person and my love for soccer is greatly inspired by my ancestors. I am very passionate about my academics and soccer. I hope to have a future career in either nursing, emergency medicine, or law. My hobbies include paddle boarding, kayaking, fishing, and reading. As I continue to grow as an athlete and person on and off the field, I hope to have a positive impact and influence on my generation and the future generations of young women. Some things that I love are books, tea, coffee, kombucha, traveling, eating lemons with salt, and my pet turtle named Mikey.
