Hello, my name is MaKayla Reichel. I was raised in a mixed ethnicity household with my mom being Japanese and Vietnamese, and my dad is Caucasian. This has helped me appreciate my culture and value different Asian traditions such as the Lunar New Year and learning how to cook specialty dishes. My journey as an athlete is meaningful towards me because I had to conquer my eating disorder, Orthorexia, in order to be healthy enough to run again. Being an athlete is all about mindset and resilience. It is about how you push through obstacles and keep going to see the results you want. Outside of sports, I am a ride operator at Hersheypark, and I enjoy going to amusement parks. I also hangout with friends, family, and do calming activities such as solving puzzles and reading. My long term career after college is becoming a Civil Engineer with a minor in statistics. I also want to become a triathlete and compete in half and full marathons. I would love to work with any brand :)
