Mason Meinershagen, a standout track and field athlete from St. Louis, Missouri, competes for the University of Kansas Jayhawks, specializing in pole vault and high jump. A multi-sport athlete at Oakville High School before focusing on track and field, where she won state championships in both pole vault and high jump and broke multiple school records. Since joining KU, Mason has emerged as one of the top collegiate vaulters in the nation. As a freshman, she qualified for both the Indoor and Outdoor NCAA Championships and tied the KU indoor pole vault record (4.45m), placed second at the Big 12 Indoor Championships, and competed at the 2024 U.S. Olympic Trials. In her sophomore year, she broke both the indoor (4.56m) and outdoor (4.51m) school records, earned multiple top national rankings, took silver at the 2025 Big 12 Indoor and Outdoor Championships, and qualified for the 2025 USATF Toyota Outdoor National Championships.
