Biography
Hello, I’m Mattie Boyd! I’m a red shirt Sophomore on our women’s basketball team and track team at the only HBCU in Oklahoma, Langston University! I’m currently studying in our school’s HPER program, which stands for Heath, Physical Education, and Recreation. With this line of study I plan to become a Graduate assistant and learn the ropes to become a basketball coach. Then I can have an impact on the skill and personal development of our young athletes. I’m a Christian athlete and a member of our LU FCA board. I love doing outdoor activities like fishing, walking, trail riding, horseback riding, and hiking. When I’m inside, you can catch me watching Anime, playing with my 4 dogs, or listening to and producing all kinds of music. I’m also adopted, so I love to share my story with other young athletes who are adopted as well, because I can share similar experiences and stories with them.
