Biography
My name is Maya Lacognato, and I am from Granger, Indiana. I am graduating from IUPUI with a Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Science and a minor in Health Education. I have also been honored to represent the university the last 4 years as a forward on the Women's Soccer Team. I will be taking my 5th year at the University of Kentucky to play soccer along with getting a Master's Certificate in Sports, Fitness, and Recreation Management. I have learned a lot of lessons from soccer and athletics, which geared me toward my major. My goal is to become a personal trainer, for a sports team or health center, and assist those who desire to achieve their fitness and wellness goals. None of my success and energy would be possible without a solid spiritual foundation. I truly feel I have been blessed to have been raised in a family environment where religion and spirituality is a cornerstone of our family. I wouldn't be where I am today with God and I know He has a plan for me.
