Hi, I’m Moustafa Abdelaal, I am a Division I track and field athlete at New Jersey Institute of Technology, specializing in middle-distance events. Fully committing to the sport my senior year, I earned All-Conference and All-Division honors, broke six school records, and was named team MVP and captain. Now as a freshman at NJIT, I continue to compete at a high level and recently broke the university’s 600m school record. Alongside athletics, I study Mechanical Engineering and am a member of the Educational Opportunity Program (EOP). Beyond competition, I served as a New Student Orientation Leader, where I welcomed and guided incoming students, helped create a positive first impression of NJIT, and developed my communication and leadership skills. I also serve as a Peer Mentor, supporting first-year students as they adjust to college life and helping them navigate their academic and personal transition into NJIT.
