I am Nadiyah Byard, an athlete here at App State, who is majoring in psychology & criminal justice. I am so much more than just an athlete, although my heart is with basketball and track(high jump), I have a love for many different things. I am in love with fashion, helping others, art, my family, friends and teammates. I love sports as a whole, I am a die hard Georgia sports fan, I love it all. I like to be involved, especially in things that help or support others rather thats physically, emotionally or spiritually; anything that includes helping others, I want to be there. Especially the less fortunate, people of color, or the LGBTQ+ community, as I am a lesbian woman of color who understands struggles they may face.
