I'm Naoma Yancey, an incoming freshman at Fort Valley State University and a proud member of the Wildcats volleyball team. With 5 years of AAU and high school experience, I’ve earned First & Second Team All-Region honors, two-time Defensive Player of the Year, and ranked #1 in my region for digs. I’ve been featured in multiple articles (https://thesoutherneronline.com/96733/sports/senior-yancey-leads-volleyball-team-to-success/), served as captain every year, and was even showcased in my school’s weight room. Academically, I completed all high school coursework by 11th grade, took full-time dual enrollment, and attended cosmetology school. I’m majoring in Business Administration with a Pre-Law concentration and will be part of the Honors College. I also run a hair business and plan to expand it in college by launching a hair care vending machine on campus and partnering with hair brands to empower Black female athletes.
