Growing up in a tiny rural town, I didn't have fancy gyms or athletic complexes. Instead, I made do with what I had, turning downtown Plymouth and my own yard into my outdoor workout complexes. My story even made it into a teen book called "Small Town Talent," where it shared how basketball helped me through tough times like grief. In a high school where everyone knows everyone, I stood out not just for your athletic skills but also for my academic excellence and healthy lifestyle choices. I am all about staying fit and keeping it natural, avoiding sodas, excess sugar, and fried foods. But it's not easy in a place where finding fresh fruit smoothie means traveling over 50 miles. Yet, my commitment to health and wellness never wavers. My faith is my rock, guided by Psalms 91 and reinforced by my education at a Christian-based school.
