First generation student athlete at Creighton University studying BIA. Transferred from DePaul. My family is Egyptian, I have 3 siblings who all play D1 soccer(younger brother here at Creighton, sister at Alabama, older brother at SLU and DePaul and recently graduated)! Dad played professional and Egyptian National team. During our 2nd day of practice before our 2024 season, I fully ruptured my Achilles and underwent surgery which kept me out for the year. 3 months later, I did a reconstructing hip surgery. These were difficult times but I truly feel they happened for a reason and it’s made me much stronger. I was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes when I was 18 before entering college. This challenged me a lot but has made me stronger in many ways. It has especially put an emphasis on how I eat and making sure I put quality into my body.
