Biography
My name is Perry Baker. I grew up playing football and was drafted to the Philadelphia Eagles where my career was cut short due to a knee injury. My counselor in high school introduced me to Rugby and I fell in love with the game. Most people know and recognize me as one of the fastest Rugby 7’s players in the world. I have been with Team USA now for nine years and competed in the 2016 Rio De Janeiro Olympics as well as the 2020/2021 Tokyo Olympics. I was the first USA 7’s player to ever be nominated for World Rugby 7’s Player of the Year. I won the award back to back in 2017 and 2018. No one in the sport has ever won the award multiple times. My goal is to continue to reach milestones and bring attention to the game of Rugby 7’s here in the US to the respect it has in other countries. Aside from Rugby I coach youth rugby camps and would like to grow these world wide.
