Hi! I’m Rachel, and aside from being a rower at the University of Portland, I am a lover of food, travel, and the outdoors. When I’m not admiring the PNW from the water, I love to hike the beautiful trails here, stop by the art museum, or find a great thrift store in the city. I am currently pursuing my nursing degree and a career as an officer in the Marine Corps through Officer Candidate School. I grew up in an Air Force family and was born in Keflavík, Iceland. I lived in a lot of places: Illinois, Alabama, Los Angeles, and Virginia. We settled in O’Fallon, Illinois, near St. Louis.
