I am sophomore decathlete at Hastings College pursing a degree in Business. I grew up in Boulder Colorado where I spent my time in as many sports as possible. This love eventually lead to a rough patch when I had time stop training while I underwent hip surgery. This surgery lead me to focus solely on track and field. Track and field as always been a part of my life whether I knew it at the time or not. My father had a collegiate and post collegiate track career and ultimately ended naming me after Rafer Johnson, an extremely talented decathlete from the 60’s.
