My name is Ryan Hackbart and I am a freshman as South Dakota State University. I am a member of the track team competing as a thrower. I am majoring in agronomy and minoring in precision agriculture. My hometown is Grafton, Iowa where I grew up on a acreage. Throughout my whole life I was very involved with our family farm and still am today. My parents are Jason and Jody Hackbart and I have one sister, Brooklyn Hackbart. Growing up, religion has been a big part of my life and still is today. I am a member of SDSU fellowship of christain athlete group. In this group we meet every Wednesday to dive deep into the Bible and grow as children of god. I feel that this is a necessity in my life, especially as a collegiate athlete. In my free time I love to fish, hunt, and spending time in the outdoors. I’ve spent a lot of my free time fishing, chasing after bigger fish every time I go out. Any day on the water is a good day.
