My name is Samantha Schmidt and I’m a freshman at the University of Nebraska-Omaha. I play division 1 softball here at UNO and am an education major going into athletic directing. I LOVE DR. PEPPER it’s my favorite drink ever and enjoy giving back to my community. I give hitting lessons when I go back to my hometown and ran a camp to help give back to the little girls who have looked up to me my whole career! I enjoy giving back to kids and to a community who has always supported me through my journey and making people strive for greatness to reach their dreams! Family also means everything to me because they got me to where I am today. They are my biggest supporters and always help me strive every single day! I also play for something bigger and play for three boys that have Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD). They make me work hard to reach the top of my game by playing for them to know life is greater than just the game of softball and have given me so much faith in life!
