I’m Shawn, a student-athlete at Virginia State University majoring in Computer Science and a member of the VSU baseball program. I’m passionate about baseball, technology, fitness, and personal growth, and I’m always looking for ways to challenge myself and improve both on and off the field. My journey as an athlete has taught me the importance of discipline, resilience, and hard work. In eighth grade, I suffered a serious leg injury that required six surgeries over the course of about a year and a half. Because of the injury and my recovery, I missed my freshman and sophomore years of high school sports. Watching from the sidelines while working to recover was one of the most difficult experiences of my life, but it taught me never to take the opportunity to compete for granted.
