My name is Shayne Simmons. I am currently a political science student at Seton Hall pursuing an M.P.A. I plan to make a real difference in this world but struggle to find how without a degree or massive social following. I’ve learned that a voice is still a voice, and I would like to use mine to endorse companies with a similar mission. I am interested in socially conscious companies that plan to leave their field of work in a better spot than they found it. I would also like to mention that I am an athlete with celiac disease, something that has proved to be a challenge as I get older. I also come from a story that I would like to share with others, as I should have never gotten an opportunity to play sports if it wasn’t for my persistence and attitude to bring me where I am today. I suffered from many physical ailments that should have deterred me, but I, as well as many others, have shown what the human body can push past to achieve a goal.
