Hello everyone, my name is Shelby Garrett and I will be a upcoming redshirt sophmore at the University of South Alabama. I’m just a small town girl from Frostproof, Florida, living our her dream of playing softball at the highest level. Growing up I knew I wanted to play college softball all along, and no matter what it was going to take to get there, I knew that’s what I wanted to do! Although it’s easier said than done. I have suffered an ongoing knee injury for 3 years now. I have battled back from 2 knee surgeries and now a 3rd partial tear knowing that I eventually am going to have a story worth sharing. My story of adversity, perseverance, and faith is something that I hold onto for not only as confidence for myself but for others to relate to and use as a driving reminder that anything is possible no matter the obstacle that is in sight. This year I am looking forward to finally sharing and showing my story that I have worked so hard for and been so patient with. ONLY GOD 🙏🏼
