About
Biography
Hi everyone. My name is Sheridan Oberhand and I am a freshman at Monroe University in New Rochelle, NY. I’m on the women’s basketball team and play both the point and shooting guard positions. I’ve been playing basketball for twelve years now and it is has been my passion and love since. During my high school career I tore both ACLs, one in the winter of 2020, and the second in the spring of 2021. Obviously, this was a major set back, but with my mental toughness and resilience I came back stronger then ever. I am very family oriented and my little brother is even the assistant coach here at Monroe. My hobbies outside of basketball include reading, art, and you will constantly see me at a movie theatre. My goal for after college is to be in the medical field. I’m thinking physical therapy, athletic training, or even a physician assistant. After the major injuries in high school, I’ve learned so much about the human body and I want to help other athletes be at their healthiest self.
