I’m Sophi Merickel. I’m from Phoenix AZ but I go to school in Ohio. I play lacrosse at Marietta College. I am going into my sophomore year. I’m studying sports medicine to become a physical therapist. Before I graduate high school I broke my ankle and tore my syndesmosis ligament. I had to get a metal plate put in eight screws and a fake ligament. It was very difficult to come back from especially going into college and being a part of a new team but I worked and recovered the best I could and earned a starting position as a freshman. I’ve learned it’s not about how hard you get hit but it’s about getting up and hitting back harder.
