I’m Stefan Gustafson, a freshman at Rice University and I play football. I went to high school at St. John’s in Houston, Texas, and played football, wrestling, track and field and baseball. I was a prefect, football captain, and the leader of a club advocating for mental health awareness. At Rice, I intend to continue to advocate for mental health awareness and political justice through enrolling into several clubs. I plan to major in political science and pursue either a law degree or politics. I’m on the offensive line, and love the necessity of brains and brawn it takes to be a truly dominant offensive lineman. I play center, and have for most of my life. Both of my parents went to Rice, along with my sister, and I was the Rice baseball bat boy for 8 years. Rice is intertwined into my very being, and it is a dream come true to be able to play football for this historic university.
