I’m in my Senior year at NJIT majoring in Environmental Science with plans to get my graduate degree in Environmental Engineering after graduation. I am from western Pennsylvania near Pittsburgh in the rural area of Enon Valley. I grew up on 35 acres of land which led me to spend a large amount of time outdoors. From this, I developed passions for outdoor survival, camping, and fishing. This led to me embarking on a five day wilderness survival training course way back in the Colorado Rockies near Boulder. The experience was life changing. I ate only what we found on the land and slept between two granite boulders on a bed of straw in an isolated valley. It gave me a new appreciation for modern society. I also enjoy hiking my property with my two golden retrievers. Along with this, I also spend time at our property on Berlin Lake, OH where I enjoy numerous water activities. I was a member of my high school golf team and spend a lot of my time back home on the golf course.
