Biography
Growing up in a small Texas Panhandle town, I was always academically inclined and never initially expected sports to be my ticket. My childhood was unconventional; my mother was 14 when I was born and signed her parental rights over to my grandparents. If you looked at my life on paper, you'd never assume I would end up where I am now. I believe life is what you make it, and failure is only the end if you give up. At the end of my freshman year, I realized I had a real shot in Track & Field. During high school, I became a 3x Texas State Champion (2x discus, 1x shot put), a Texas State Runner-up in both, set the 3A Texas State Record in shot put, and was a 4x Nike All-American (National champion and runner-up in discus/3rd in shot put). Now I am BioChem major planning to become a biochemical geneticist, I am strive to succeed in all aspects of my life. Outside of academics, I love all things outdoors: hiking, hunting, and fishing, and I enjoy painting, drawing, and various instruments
