My journey as a black woman, a survivor of childhood sexual assault, a professional basketball athlete, an advocate and member of the LBGTQ+ community has provided refuge to stretch, disrupt, and tell my story. These collective experiences have empowered me to be a voice and beacon for others on how to deal with trauma, fear, insecurities and empathy, while being vulnerable and creating a safe haven for empowering untapped communities through storytelling and self-publishing. Native of Southside Chicago, I was raised by a village of strong, beautiful, black women. Their values on love, compassion, and grace molded me into the multi-faceted woman that I’ve become today.
