At the age of 14 I was struck by a car resulting in the amputation of my right foot. I was told that I wouldn't be able to compete in sports again so I learned to fly. I competed in Long Jump for Saddleback Community College and Azusa Pacific University where I received my BS degree in Exercise Science.
