Biography
Kentucky Native Hurdler Trystan Wright joined the SEMO Red-Hawk track team as a sophomore after a successful Freshman career stint with Friends University of Wichita, Kansas. Wright comes from a teen mother forced to move to a small town who raised him with a strong work ethic and compassion for others. Wright now owns a personal training brand “Wright Performance” where he helps patrons get in the best shape of their lives. Athletically, Trystan contributed the first ever individual male State Championships to Calloway County High School of Murray, Kentucky in both the 110 and 60 meter hurdles. After signing to Friends University, he won the 60 meter hurdles and contributed to the 4x400 meter relay for 2 conference titles in the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference (KCAC) Wright was a national qualifier in both the 110 hurdles and the 4x100 meter relay. Trystan states his dream is to continue to climb the ranks in track and field with the hopes of competing in the Olympic games.
