McKenna Johnson, a 5-9 guard from Wilmot, Wisconsin, joins Butler University’s women’s basketball team after transferring from the University of Minnesota. A former ESPN Top 100 recruit (No. 60 overall in the 2024 class), Johnson was a standout at Wilmot Union High School, where she averaged 26.1 points, 10 rebounds, and earned multiple All-State and MVP honors. She played AAU for Wisconsin Flight Elite, helping them reach the EYBL Final Four. Known for her scoring ability and toughness. she was named Academic All-Big Ten before transferring to Butler. She is majoring in Business Technology and Analytics. McKenna is the middle child of 7. She has 5 sisters and 1 brother. Along with 2 dogs. She enjoys shopping, working out and healthy clean eating. She also enjoys the outdoors such as hiking, camping and water sports. McKenna has experience working with people of disabilities and volunteering at food kitchens. She really enjoys working with those with special needs.
