I’m Walt Bannerman and I’m a pole vaulter from Durham, NC. I started my pole vault career in my junior year of high school at Woodberry Forest School. I’ve loved the sport ever since and now do pole vault at George Mason University. Besides track I’m focused on my degree in Business with a concentration in Marketing and a minor in Real Estate Development. After earning my degree I hope to build a career for myself selling houses and buildings. Apart from my educational and athletic endeavors, my friends, family, and community are an integral part of my life. When I’m not at school you’ll find me supporting my sister at dance, spending time with my family at home watching movies, or winding down playing video games.
