About
Biography
My name is Will Bermudez, and I am a baseball player for UC Irvine. I play second-base, and I switch hit. I am a product of Junior college playing for Mt. San Antonio College last year. In 2019, I was diagnosed with Juvenile Myoclonic Epilepsy after a severe head injury during a baseball game. The injury resulted in me losing five years of memory for about two and a half weeks. After being told there was a high possibility of never playing baseball again, I worked endlessly on the basics of baseball to get back on the field. My injury showed me how devoted I am to baseball, and how I want to help people with disabilities. I’ve worked numerously with the Challenger Program which is a organization that allows kids and adults with disabilities ranging from autism to cerebral palsy to play baseball. I am currently majoring in Psychology and a minor in Sociology. I plan on being a Sports Psychologist. Lastly, I am a First Generation College Student Athlete.
