I’m Issa Ouattara. I’m a Division I football player at Vanderbilt University with Ivorian and German roots. I grew up in both France and Germany before moving to the United States to pursue my dream of playing college football and earning a degree. Being exposed to different cultures, languages, and experiences has shaped who I am and given me a unique perspective on life. When I’m not on the football field, you’ll usually find me traveling, trying new foods, cooking, taking photos, working out, or spending time with friends and family. Having recently earned my bachelor’s degree in Medicine, Health & Society, I’m passionate about growth, community, and showing others that anything is possible through hard work and perseverance. I’m grateful for the journey that has brought me from Europe to the United States and excited to continue sharing my experiences both on and off the field. Going into my senior year as a graduate student.
