Opendorse to launch 75+ school-specific NIL marketplaces thru fall 2022

School marketplaces maximize NIL success for student-athletes by mobilizing fan support

Opendorse today announced its commitment to launch school-specific name, image and likeness (NIL) marketplaces for over 75 partner schools throughout the fall of 2022. This summer, Opendorse will launch a complete overhaul of its world leading NIL marketplace to accelerate opportunities for student athletes. Working with existing and new collegiate partners, these new school-specific marketplaces will facilitate fans, brands, donors and sponsors to directly support student athletes.

School specific marketplaces will empower athletic departments to maximize NIL success for student-athletes by mobilizing fan bases and local organizations. Supporters will have a single, streamlined platform to easily find their favorite athletes, offer deals, and complete payments.

“Schools that mobilize their alumni and local markets to support student-athletes will become leaders in year-two of NIL,” said Blake Lawrence Opendorse CEO. “Fans, donors and local brands badly want to support NIL initiatives – but most don’t know where to even start. A school marketplace solves that. They will give every supporter one place to maximize NIL opportunities for their favorite student-athletes.”

The NIL company launched its initial school-specific NIL marketplaces with partners including Oregon, Texas, Nebraska, Wisconsin, Oregon State and Memphis throughout the spring of 2022. Student-athletes at these institutions experienced a 193% increase in NIL opportunities in the first month after the marketplace’s launch.

Athletic departments launching NIL marketplaces with Opendorse include schools such as Kansas, Kansas State, Texas Tech, TCU, Indiana, Maryland, Illinois, Arizona State, Missouri, BYU, Creighton, Wyoming, Utah State, Louisville, Houston, UConn, Akron, Kent State, Providence, Quinnipiac, Georgia Southern, Jackson State and Minnesota State. Plus, additional schools from the Big 10, Pac-12, ACC, SEC, Big 12, Big East, Mountain West, MAC, C-USA, AAC, Horizon League, SoCon, Sun Belt and the MAAC.
