Area Code Baseball, Opendorse To Prepare Top Prospects for NIL

Partnership to provide NIL education and brand building technology to nation’s top 220+ high school baseball players.

Area Code Baseball and Opendorse announced today the launch of a new program to prepare the country’s top high school baseball players for coming changes to name, image, and likeness (NIL) rights monetization. The partnership features Opendorse Ready™, the company’s elite NIL education solution that is currently used by more than 30 top programs in college sports including Clemson, Ohio State, and Miami Athletics.

As the country’s premier high school baseball showcase, Area Code Baseball competitors will soon be among the most marketable players in collegiate and professional baseball. With Opendorse Ready, each athlete will receive a custom assessment of their brand value and recommendations to enhance it. The program will also provide athletes with live consultation sessions and on-demand access to the Opendorse NIL Masterclass, a video series featuring brand building and monetization experts from leading brands including Instagram, the Players’ Tribune, and Overtime.

“For 35 years, the Area Code Games has provided the country’s best high school baseball talent with top competition and an opportunity to perform in front of college coaches, MLB scouts and decision-makers.” said Area Code Baseball General Manager Ronny Torres. “With Opendorse, we’re now able to also arm those athletes with the best-in-class education needed to help them maximize their future earning potential.”

Opendorse Ready leans on the company’s decade of athlete endorsement experience at the professional level to deliver the industry’s elite brand education and development experience. In addition to NIL education, competitors can use Opendorse to access photography and videos from Area Code Baseball events and publish it to their personal social media channels with a single tap.

“These athletes are the future faces of baseball,” said Opendorse CEO Blake Lawrence. “Whether their next years are spent in pursuit of an MLB contract or collegiate success, they each have an enormous opportunity to build a valued and sought-after personal brand. Our partnership with Area Code Baseball will provide a roadmap for players to maximize this moment and prepare for a successful career on and off the field.
